Adam & Nicola - Galgorm Resort and Hotel, Northern Ireland

Wedding video of Adam & Nicola, Galgorm Resort and Hotel, Northern Ireland

“We knew straight away that you were the video guy for us”.

That’s what Adam & Nicola said about me before they had even spoken to me. I guess when you know, you know!

Adam and Nicola had chosen the Galgorm Resort for their wedding as the place reminded them of their late daughter, and so the wedding was filled with emotion from the outset.

Adam was easily one of the most organised and involved grooms that I’ve ever had. He knew where every penny of his budget was spent and this put Nicola’s mind at ease for the whole planning stage. Some couples can get really caught up in the details, but Adam and Nicola didn’t even know properly what their cake would look like once complete - they had every faith in all of their vendors like this!

Mark Barnes captured their wedding photos and was a joy to work with (as always). The beauty of the Galgorm Resort is the choice of ceremony and reception rooms, all of which are furnished and decorated to a high standard. As a whole, Galgorm exudes beauty and the resort goes that extra mile to stand out from the crowd of wedding venues.

Adam and Nicola married in Phantom House, the Galgorm’s quaint riverside ceremony room which is full of character. They then had drinks and dinner reception in the Great Hall, which is, as you can image, both great and big.

The grounds of the Galgorm are stunning and it’s water features make for an excellent backdrop for both wedding photography and videography.

With their 3 young boys as groomsmen and Adam’s younger brother as his best man, the whole day was filled with laughter and you didn’t have to look too far to capture someone having fun. The large number of guests gave the whole day a great buzz and the bride and groom were willing to be directed for the best shots possible.

The highlight for the film for me was when I was able to capture the couple in an intimate moment at the Galgorm’s ‘Chandelier Garden’, a wooded area with lit up chandeliers decorating the trees. It gave the newlyweds a time to just enjoy being in each other’s company away from the crowds.
