Surprise Wedding!

Michael & Natasha - Belmont House Hotel - Banbridge, Northern Ireland

“We loved how you captured all of the fun parts of our wedding!”.

Natasha and Michael’s wedding was very different to any other that I’ve had the pleasure of capturing…they had staged their big day as a complete surprise for almost all of their guests.

Meeting in their hometown of Banbridge, Michael and Natasha made the decision to trade working across two cities, for moving to Canada to spend some quality time with each other.

So when they invited all of their nearest and dearest to their ‘leaving party’, little did most of them know that they were there to witness these two amazing people getting married!

The wedding plans for this couple all revolved around the stunning Belmont House Hotel, Banbridge, Northern Ireland.

With plans to spend their first year in Canada just enjoying each other’s company and finding whatever work they could, guests were sharply dressed thanks to the ‘Oscars' theme night that went back to Michael’s film-making passion and work in the film industry - the stage was set!

When guests were finally seated in the large venue they started to realise that they were there for such a special occasion!

Holding their ceremony, dinner and dancing in the same place meant that guests were free to completely relax and enjoy the day. Unfortunately some rain stopped us making the most of the stunning gardens, but fun was still had!

DJ Greener got the dance floor moving more than i’ve ever seen at a wedding! He was absolutely brilliant and now my top recommended wedding DJ. It's clear to see how he’s the wedding DJ of the year!

I had the pleasure of working with Lucy Arbuthnot - Miss Media NI, who was not only brilliant to work with, but provided the couple with some incredible edits!

Natasha got ready within the hotel under total secrecy, whilst Michael enjoyed a relaxed morning with his groomsmen at his family home.

The ceremony, drinks reception, and dinner were all in the one place, which is always handy for guests and vendors, with a night time disco getting everyone up on the dancefloor to throw some shapes!

Around midday it started to rain, but thankfully after family shots and portraits of the couples.
